Emacs is a life style!
Emacs is the GNU way.
@varepsilon
Vim is unix way, but GNU - Not Unix.

The one true editor
It's extensible (of course Lisp helps); thus it can be customized to fit me. I'm finding it more and more convinent. Using Emacs, plain text becomes such a lot of fun.
I only worry about my ``Ctrl'' and ``Alt''. They're used too often.
It is also great with multiple displays.
Still my favorite editor.
org-mode (-;
Yes, Vim is very good. Emacs + Viper + Vimpulse is better :)
Очень продвинутый текстовый редактор. Для набора с использованием LaTeX просто незаменим.
Emacs rocks!
Available on multiple platforms, powerful macro language, very useful.
Lol, xemacs got me thru quite a few cs assignments in uni, however I mean it was the only thing half-usable on x-windows and compared to any normal text editor totally sucks (hell notepad is better). Vi never made any sense to me.
