The 2nd most popular adventure/RPG game on Mac OS X

Eve Online is a player-driven persistent-world massively multiplayer online game set in a science fiction space setting. Players pilot customizable ships through a universe comprising over five thousand solar systems. Most solar systems are connected to one or more other solar systems by means of jump gates. The solar systems can contain several entities including but not limited to: moons, planets, stations, asteroid belts and complexes. Players of Eve Online are able to participate in any number of in-game professions and activities, including mining, manufacturing, trade and combat (both player versus environment and player versus player). The range of activities available to the player is facilitated by a character advancement system based upon training skills in real time, even while not logged in to the game. It is developed and maintained by the Icelandic company CCP Games. First released in North America and Europe in May 2003, it was published from May to December 2003 by Simon & Schuster Interactive, after which CCP purchased the rights back and began to self-publish via a digital distribution scheme. On January 22, 2008 it was announced that Eve will be distributed via Steam. The current version of Eve Online is dubbed Apocrypha, released on March 10 2009.

Best sci-fi in-space MMO. Great skills conception and in-game economic mechanics. After all my MMO/MMORPG experience EVE just give me some rest and semi-meditative gaming process. And it’s really beautiful.

Definitely the best MMO. Though I didn't play any other :-D
Doing short break after 4 years of playing. Waiting for new expansion to come out in December.

I think Warhammer Online is also getting recorded as this game as I've been playing that for the last week but EVE is showing up in my list.

I tried it out for a little while... I wish something like this were around back when I was about 11 years old, it would have owned my life. I love the reviews here... "very good but not perfect..." make your own game then, cheif.

this game is ausom its really like your part of the game so many things to do the only let down is the slightley over marked price they make way to much money and the game interface gets annoying to much clicking to do things and also the online radio i think needs to be integrated into the eve game so you don't have so much bandwidth usage and cpu drain from programs like i tunes.. but i give it a 9/10 a must play

Excelent game. Great graphics, many features, its an unique MMO. But it gets too slow, lacks some action and its too complicated. But it has great potential.

    WORST. MMO. EVER.
I could say a lot about this...this...thing. But I don't even know where to start. Maybe another time.
Right now I can only say that if you like playing this "game", by all means, please continue: you deserve it. Just stay the hell away from me.

The space is very beatiful. Without the missions, it would be pretty boring game. And at least here in Finland, the 60-days gamecard seems to be a few euros more expensive than it is for WoW

The most beautiful space RPG game for Mac. Interface is almost like a new OS. But you gotta figure Atari pioneered video games. They might not have been on every top selling game but they probably had they're fingers in the batter. I think of them as the freemasons of the video game world.

Great MMO, very deep and submersive. The PVP is great, but CCP's main flaw is the huge learning curve needed to start playing this game.
