Great game, amazing and deep. The learning curve can be steep (personally
woundn't say so) but there is a lot of knowledge in the eve-wiki and around the
web, and also there is a very friendly Rookie Help channel in game. The only
problem with the game is that it can take away the remains of you reallife
:).
Runs perfect on the Mac Pro, although the Mac version (which is really a
cider-wrapped windows version) uses up to 80% cpu resources of the 2x4-core
xeon, according to the 'top' utility :).
The game that I love and hate. The engine, graphics and gameplay (PvP) are
great (PvE is bland), but sometimes the support folks are a bit trying. Some of
their policies for reimbursement are quite frustrating, but hey. Still a lot of
fun to go pew pew in space.
2 Ginsu: Imo you cant compare WoW and EVE.Yes, both are MMORPGs, but WoW
concentrates on a different customer part of the market and has completely
different design features. For me(as a long-year WoW player) are both games best
in what they are meant for.
I played WoW for a while, but lost interest when continuing to level up got
harder than it was worth. Some friends introduced me to EVE, and I've been
addicted ever since. I think it's cool how you level up skills that matter to
you, and don't have to bother with a unified leveling system. I will say it's
kind of a drag waiting months for some of the higher level skills to train, but
overall, a much better system than the one I was used to in WoW.
Graphics are intense and beautiful.
Gameplay is easy and manageable without getting boring.
Price is on par with other MMO's, and once you get good enough, you don't
have to pay to play if you can make enough ISK (the currency) every month to buy
a PLEX (in-game game time extending item).
Very shiny game, lots of depth to explore. Interface glitches are rare, but a
tad annoying, as windows snap into place nicely, but lock together & move
when i don't want them to.
Generally very shiny & worth a look if you have the time :-)

Couldn't get it to run on my mac. The first day I downloaded it, it went
through updates, and it was 2 gigs worth, which would be fine but I could only
pull around 50kbps or less. Forums were not helpful in resolving my problem.
For a person who has played many different MMO's I found EVE to be the most
persistently appealing, with the option to play or build skills while not
playing, it makes the experience all the much better, allowing me to set my own
pace and not have to be online as much as WOW or others require.
If one's not committed to this game, this game looks difficult to learn.
Plus, it crashed on my first try. Well... But, this is a quite new environment
unlike any other MMORPG. This fact can be either positive or negative
impression, depending on one's personal preference.
EVE has been one of those games that has managed to suck me in.
It's very nerd-friendly, with lots of numbers, as well as an economy that
goes above and beyond to have some depth to it. Knowing I can travel a system
over and get better bang for my buck on parts or sales makes the game worth
it.
The game has successfully replaced (or at least supplemented) my only other
MMO, Anarchy Online.
This game is so addictive. Look forward to the next expansion which includes
wormholes.
The last expansion addressed the performance issues and I rarely have
lag.
Fun fun

Damn it!
I love it!
How bad you are.

One of the most balanced and feature-rich MMO's out there. Simply a beautiful game with a lot of thought put into it.

Best. MMORPG. EVER.

Love it. The only computer game I play anymore.

Apocrypha runs surprisingly well on my mbp. Still reaching temps of about 78C though. Ouch.

Definitely the best MMO! With new Apocrypha expansion it became even more cool. Skill training queue, new t3 ships, wormhole space etc.
