A full featured email program that happens to support my Exchange server nicely. Be wary of this if you have Exchange 2007 as this is not supported yet, but otherwise this makes a great email client.
Switching between Calander, Contacts and Email is a little kludgy, but once you find all these options via the main menu you can do just about anything.
If you want something fast without much bloat then this isn't for you, although if you're already running Ubuntu most of the background processes for it have already been started.
It's way faster than Thunderbird on gmail, and I'm happy with it on Ubuntu.
Slightly bloated but pretty efficient. Those looking for groupware for linux, will find evolution to their liking. But if all you want is a e-mail client then thunderbird is a better option.
I find it works faster and better than Thunderbird! I might be wrong, but for now I have very few complaints with Evolution :) The aesthetics are perhaps not perfect, but that's more down to GTK+ I think :)
The most usable groupware client on Linux. It communicate with Exchange quite good, but not perfectly
Evolution is what Outlook should be...
Very flexible and easy to configure.
Unlike Outlook, Evolution can connect to a LOOOT of mail servers, including Exchange...
Evolution needs an heir...It tends to be sluggish updating from exchange in the mornings. The plugins that assist in synchronizing to Google Calendars seem to work ok but contribute a bit to Evolutions latency. It does the job for linux, for the one app in the world M$ does really well, however, Evolution doesn't seem to emulate very well. I tend to get email alerts to my Palm Pre faster than I see them in Evolution. It makes a valiant effort to be Exchange compatible, it just seems to lag with latency and integration smoothness.
convenient & functional =)
Seems to be a perfect way to connect Ubuntu to MS Exchange Server. I was surprized when I connected it for the first time.
What a load of crap. After coming from Outlook 2007 i find this a feeble attempt at an e-mail client.
I like it, but preferred Mozilla THUNDERBIRD
i like it better than thunderbird. easier to set up and has more features. also greatly integrated with ubuntu
trumps thunderbird in simplicity...
evolution id default email client program in ubuntu
it simply set with gmail
and simple
Отличный клиент, здорово помогает в работе. Великолепно интегрирован с Gnome.
