You can blame Microsoft but MS Excel (WINDOWS version) is the best datasheet tool ever created. Slick interface, perfect perfomance, powerfull of VBA macroses and almost everything you need and expect - choice of IT Pro or Analytist. Mac OS Excel version suck however, as well as Apple Numbers which is cool, but suitable only for home use. Pity.

Excellent program especially in the 2007 version.
Very powerfull tool, use it mostly for reporting. Pivottables are really cool.
Working on the integration in Sharepoint, looks very promising.
Been using this from the very first early versions. It is still the best on the market. Everybody that is still working with an earlier version than Office 2007. Invest in the upgrade. You will need a week to get used to it and then you are hooked. The GUI is revolutionary.
