I go there strictly for the TV industry news. Basically, if entertainment journalist Matt Mitovich is there, I'm there.

email to remind a show is on is really handy when show time merry-go-round happens. To the folks outside CONUSA, the distribution of fancast content is determined by the content owner -- sony, disney, Fox, abc and so on. Every country has different laws, i.e., try to watch F1 racing live outside UK/EU.

I don't rely on Fancast too often because majority of the TV shows that I watch are on Hulu (which Fancast integrates.) However, I do frequently use it to catch shows that Hulu doesn't air like the CSI series, and NCIS.

I'd use it for Lost as well, but I loath having to be forced to use the ABC website to view it; I have never liked the player used, nor do I ever get good quality (despite my good connection). Last time I used it you also had to click the ads to continue watching your show... Not fun if you're laying in bed cuddling with someone and have to get up every 10 minutes!

But as far as Fancast is concerned, I rely on them to keep up with my shows. :)

Can't even air episodes outside US. US Networks suck. They're selfish. They don't want the rest of the world to see their shows unless you buy their DVDs.

I only use this when I have to, actually. Not my favorite. I like watching Family Guy on Hulu better because you get more episodes.
