This game brings all the yuck of grinding levels (weapon upgrades) present in
many MMORPG's, and none of the benefits of actually gaining an advantage in
multiplayer.
The world, while rather beautiful, is very monothematic and is amazingly
scarce of actual civilians and women. Very strange. Is it me, or does this game
use a drab color palette that doesn't imitate RL very well.
Wrong information.
I think it's the "Ubisoft Autoupdater". I've never had Far Cry 2
and just ran Settlers VI setup and Ubisoft Autoupdater updated the game on first
run.
Good game with nice graphics, but doesn't feel nearly as "polished"
as Crysis does (and doesn't look as good graphically either). Good value for the
number of hours of gameplay you get out of it though :-)
Came free with my video card. Graphics are gorgeous, gunplay is entertaining,
but I'm not compelled to learn about the story or explore, and the missions
don't have much depth to them at all.
Far Cry 2 is not a bad game, it's just not very good. The game leaves you
travelling around for long amounts of time and in the end it's just not that
interesting. The gun fights feel fun but when you've cleared the same outpost 10
times it can get old.
Even on my crappy old 7900 card the graphics are awesome as well as all the
special effects that have been implemented, in particular the fire physics are
the best I've seen so far!
However the story line and game play are slightly repetitive and this can get
boring in the first half of the game but overall its defiantly worth buying if
your into FPS games.
Far Cry 2, The graphics in the game feel a bit more real as well the scenery
is incredible. Leaves, water, wind, live bugs, birds and so on. However what
kills this thing is the ongoing, stopping to watch the animated story lines,
that drone on seemingly forever. Otherwise a fun game to play. I was expecting a
little more though from the successor to Fry Cry, and to have to have waited 4
years? Come on, Ubisoft!
Like many others here have said the engine is amazing, both due to its
features and also it's excellent performance on just about any machine
(including my sub-par laptop).
The game does have boring parts, travelling is particularly boring.
But the game is so stupid:
-the respawning @ those posts
-the traveling
-the enviroment is DEAD. Not enough animals
-the talking sucks
-no AM / PM on your watch.
is it good game ?

Honestly, you really want Fallout 3.

Brilliant game - love it!

I just love this game, at least its graphics and feel of reality.

This is an awesome game, but going from city to city gets tiring.
Love the graphics.. Hate all the running..
