ShareThe Update Checker will scan your computer for installed software, check the versions and then send this information to filehippo.com to see if there are any newer releases. These are then neatly displayed in your browser for you to download. The client is FREE, about 100 KB to download and only takes seconds to run. The Update Checker works on any Windows PC running 7, Vista, XP, 2003, 2000, ME or 98. It requires that Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 be installed. The Update Checker will not send any personal information back to filehippo.com. The only information collected is a list of programs and their versions, along with the operating system details to help with processing. Very nice and easy to use application. Lets me know if there are any new versions of the programs installed on my computer.
Very good update program. It does its job well and provides you with a direct download link to the software it finds. Sometimes it doesn't alert me to SOME updates though and it has given me about 5 false positives so far.
I think this is the FileHippo.com update checker.. Works great and only one I use..

The best updater at all. Programs can be downloaded direct from great website FileHippo.
After using this for a while I have found myself 'relieved' of my regular update checking doings.. which has probably made me just that little bit more productive.
Doesn't seem to pick up all the programs supported, but that could be due to my funny file system. All good considering it is in beta.
Great utility. Great value because it's free !! I would prefer it though if it recognised more applications
This sorta works and found a few needed(?) updates. Some of the version codes are incorrect
