FirstClass is a popular email client for schools. It's fast and feature-packed. It's got calendar, email, chat, web publishing, group collaboration, shared documents, etc. It's expensive, especially the first year. Version 10 was just released, and disappointed many users, who were hoping that some of the badly-needed interface tweaks would finally be implemented. After the upgrade, many schools are looking at migrating to Gmail and Google Accounts instead. I really like it, and it's been a big success at our school. But I wish their development team worked a little faster.
Good for use with my OU degree but wouldn't use if I had a choice.
Good for education/business.
Not as terrible as many say. There are a few huge issues with it but not too terrible.
Today it struck me how horribly ugly this program is. Otherwise, nothing new under the sun...
It should be so much better than it is. Did the developers stay in the ยด90s or what happened? The web app is truly horrible, the client less so but still way off track.
Horrible system. Looks bad as well.
Works well as a platform for my university.
Could be much better, in fact.
could be better...
