A mysterious new application
Folding@home (sometimes abbreviated as FAH or F@h) is a distributed computing (DC) project designed to perform computationally intensive simulations of protein folding and other molecular dynamics (MD). It was launched on October 1, 2000, and is currently managed by the Pande Group, within Stanford University's chemistry department, under the supervision of Professor Vijay Pande. Folding@home is the most powerful distributed computing cluster in the world, according to Guinness, and one of the world's largest distributed computing projects. The goal of the project is "to understand protein folding, misfolding, and related diseases."… More Edit

Help the world, keep folding.
Too bad the linux version is terminal-only, otherwise we'd see it here too.
Very handy app for the F@H project, but absolutly not user-friendly.
A distributive computing project, using spare cpu or gpu power, to study misfolded proteins.
This is the uniprocessor classic client..
FAH SMP Client..
Great way to help others by using your otherwise idle CPU.
Maybe the only way to run your CPU and GPU for something good, helpful...
Great app, we're trying to cure cancer :)
PS3 Is Folding :)...
Currently reppin' Team 33346, Check us out :D
1. Select a client appropriate for your system..
2. Clean out your system if it hasn't been done recently.
3. Consider replacing thermal paste\compound on cpu\northbridge etc..
(espescially on laptops..Will ensure maximum performance.. Artic Silver 5 used here..)
Thanks
I love folding.. Spare your extra CPU cycles for a good cause.
Folding @ Home... Spare your CPU cycles to cure cancer etc.
I'm glad that the wasted CPU usage when my computer is idle is being put to good use. :)
