The problem with all the non-Adobe PDF readers on Linux is that they don't quite get the documents right. Foxit Reader does, and has a Linux package! You can easily change Opera and Firefox to open a downloaded PDF file in Foxit Reader.

    Opera: http://my.opera.com/jax/blog/2006/11/27/tip-managing-pdf-files?cid=2431007

    Firefox: http://www.lifespy.com/2007/firefox-quick-tip-control-pdf-on-firefox-with-add-on-and-foxit-reader/

I never did like Adobe Acrobat Reader trying to open PDF files within the browser. It was buggy, the PDFs would stick and hang up all the time, and doing so often froze the whole browser. I merely told Opera and Firefox to save PDFs, and then I would open them with AAR. Now that Foxit Reader is a lot better, I can open PDF files semi-directly in a browser again.

Nice quick reader, free. Adobe Acrobat Reader is too heavy!

Great light option for PDF viewing without the kind of bloated Adobe made alternative. Definitely recommended to anyone who doesn't care for Adobe's reader but needs to view PDFs.

Foxit Reader is exactly what I'd like Adobe Reader to be...
It needs 5-8MB of Ram while the Adobe/acrobat new Reader go up to 30MB !!

Pra que instalar Adobe Reader de muitos MBs se pode instalar o Foxit Reader com poucos MBs e a mesma função?

    O Melhor!!!!!
