Front Row + Remote (or Rowmote for iPhone) = the best way to watch movies, shows and listen to music directly from bed!
Excellent for playing movies, music, videos, viewing pictures, and playing DVDs. An awesome interface, and extremely easy to use.
A very convenient UI for watching content from your iTunes library on the Mac, especially if you have an Apple Remote. One gripe is the fact that it doesn't support non-iTunes content so well, but then the simplicity of the app makes you keep wanting to use it.
There are feature rich alternatives like Plex Media server, but frankly anything else is too bloated and kludgy compared to FrontRow
Works very well for playing music and videos!
I really like Front Row mostly for checking out movie trailers but it is a nice music and video player also.
Weird, should be nr 4 user, but I can't find myself on http://wakoopa.com/software/front-row/users
Weird to know though, I've used Front Row for 2 weeks, 5 days, 21 hours, 38 minutes and 55 seconds... Am I wasting my life? :D
Just started using this recently and it is great for watching the video podcasts that I download.
The Best, Free, Simple & Complete Media Center ever created, and it's for Mac ;)
It really does work well if you just use it to occasionally watch videos from your Mac through your TV, or listen to music through your home theater.
I'm still running the version in OSX Tiger but I have used Leopard's as well, which I found to be considerably better. However, I hate to say it but Windows Media Center wins by a mile. It's much more feature rich and has a far better UI.
Its good, but its nowhere near as good as Media Centre for PC's.
Nowhere near as sophisticated or useful as Windows Media Center.
I liked the previous version better, but it's still awesome!
O lazy me.. in my bed... with the remote.. watching a movie.. or series, or music,...
I hate it that your music stops playing that fast though. In the previous version you could search for a movie, watch pictures,.. while listening to music. WHY o why is that feature gone??!
I love it so much, perfect for the media person!
Great app Got it on a very old mac runs fine 1.3.1
I just an easy app. and free
