Meh, as far as forums go, it's the largest on the internet. Gaia is littered with newbies who can't spell and pretentious jerks. Personally, I like the smaller avatar-based communities better.
I love it! You get a cute little avatar that you can customize, includes a little home and car for it. There's games, guilds, forums, free virtual stuff.. etc..
There are a lot of no0bs there, but it's easy to avoid them most of the time.

The forums are quite slow, and full of immature children, but once you find a group of friends on the forums who have things in common with you and you can post in topics with them, its all good really.
It's a pretty good site if you know where to go or what to do. I suggest going into it with a friend. I joined with no help whatsoever and it was the worst ever. All in all though, once i got started, it kicked ass. If your new or a Vet, PM Ryushi Hiryuu, i'm always up for meeting new people.
Anyway, i'd like to note the Price: Some items you need to pay for, but even then, they'll be sold on the marketplace... but at a price of an appendage. BUT! If you have a credit card, it's only 10 bucks for one item. At the most, you only really need to spend 20 bucks. That's pretty sweet if you ask me.
