GCFScape is a small tool written in C++ which can browse .bsp, .gcf, .ncf, .pak, .wad and .xzp files, used by the games Half Life and Half Life 2, as well as all games distributed online via Steam. It is usually used to extract Steam game resources, but also has other features like defragmentation, searching and file validation.

    Essential tool for extracting content from Source games.

    Not really much I can say about it, apart from the fact it works excellently. May take a while to get the hang of the UI, but if you use classic file navigation in Windows, you'll know your way around straight away.
