The 4th most popular text editor/IDE on Linux

A text editor using the GTK2 toolkit with basic features of an integrated development environment. It was developed to provide a small and fast IDE, which has only a few dependencies from other packages. It supports many filetypes and has some nice features. It's fast and light. I haven't found a language it doesn't support or any other program that performs better.

It has very uncomfortable files browsing plugin, very uncomfortable VC-systems integration, not intelligence code competition system.

Only what Geany have from the good things: internal terminal, sometimes useful autocompiling system and syntex coloring.

The best linux alternative to my favorite editor - Notepad++
The windows version of Geany is little buggy so I still use Notepad++ on Windows and Geany on Ubuntu.
