As a photoshop and GIMP use, I have to say that using GIMP has been much more
enjoyable than Photoshop, due to it's menu layout. I realize not everyone
agrees, but for me, that would be my opinion.
Excellent tool for editing images. A lot of features; most users will find
more than they need in it. Only professional users may miss photoshop...
The interface could be way better, but it's still usable enough.
Average image editor. No advanced features. Odd, confusing interface. But I
guess that's understandable - its free and open source. It was my main image
editor before I became a student and bought Photoshop.
Ugh ugh ugh. I miss Photoshop lemme tell ya. I was a bad bad kid back then
and had some pirated version of Photoshop. I later saw the err in my ways and
got rid of it, but Gimp is not really Photoshop-user-friendly. It took a while
to get used to it and I still get confused all the time. But, it's awesome for
being free and all.
I would say NOT a PhotoShop alternative unless you're ditching the entire
Adobe suite on Windows/Mac. Under Linux and in addition to Inkscape and Scribus
it's all you'll need for pro output (CMYK issues notwithstanding)
La mejor herramienta libre para la manipulación digital de imágenes.
Not bad. But i can use it on Win and Linux.

It's more than enough or most home users. Now ditch that pirated copy of Photoshop!
Крайне странно работает с горячими клавишами в MacOSX. А под Linux и Windows - очень даже ничего работает.
Bjzaba said a day ago...there is "No advanced features"...uhh...what softwhere were you looking at...it shure wasn't gimp
With a Little More Features, better than Photoshop

Good resource if you have no photophop.

Gimp: Open source, Fast, User friendly and free... Do you want more??!!
Гибкий функциональный редактор изображений...

Great free alternative to Photoshop. Not as many features, as PS, but great nonetheless.
