The 5th most popular development manager on the Web
GitHub is, officially, a Git repository hosting service. GitHub's early users are calling it a "social programming network". This is because Git's decentralized nature makes it easy to fork, branch and merge code, and so does GitHub, which makes GitHub an ideal platform for collectively working on software, especially open source.… More Edit

Do you code? Then you can't resist GitHub: it's free, it's awesome, and it works. What else?
mmm...
I don't know this service...
This Web Application / Service, in combination with Ruby's RubyGems. "Brilliant". This is, in my opinion, by far the best form of social coding yet! It's actively growing and being utilized a lot. There's also a RubyGem called "Jeweler" that makes contributing RubyGems through GitHub dead simple! Highly recommended for any Ruby Programmer. Of course, they support many other languages as well, but as far as I know, no "sudo gem install {username}-{repository] for elegant installation. Go sign up now! It's awesome!
A small downside is that it seems to be lacking a bit of performance lately, the web application's response time is a bit slow from time to time.
I love it. It's really a neat place to host stuff, and it has the issue and wiki pages as well which works great! It can be a bit slow from time to time, but overall it's a good experience.
Also, their Gist feature is really awesome. The best "pastebin"-a-like on the web imo!
The best git hosting!
Love it!
The best tool for git repositories out there
The community hold the main draw of Github. Github is the first community open source developers have felt at home and feel that they can interact with like minded developers. The UI is excellent but I have personally experienced outages and performance issues.
Great for git repos!
1) A neat way to host your Git repos
2) An even better way to share and communicate around code
GitHub is just freakin' awesome - I even wrote an iPhone client app for it, check out http://dbloete.github.com/ioctocat for the open source version or buy it on the App Store: http://itunes.com/apps/ioctocat
Awesome place for open source stuff. Feel free to join the github team here at wakoopa, too: http://www.wakoopa.com/teams/github :)
