The most popular email client on the Web
… More EditGmail, officially Google Mail in Germany and the United Kingdom, is a free POP3 and IMAP webmail service provided by Google. On April 1, 2004 the product began as an invitation-only beta release. On February 7, 2007 the beta version was opened to the general public. With an initial storage capacity of 1 GB (and growing, now over 7 GB), it drastically increased the standard for free storage. Today it's also possible to visit the site trough: http://www.gmail.com, although it redirects still to mail.google.com It also can be used as a SaaS-webmail for your domain with help of Google Apps.

Gmail>YAhooMail
The only way to use eMail!
awesome! google is my love
Just excellent! All the features, themes, labs, ... are so appealing to me.
I'm using Gmail since 2005 Aug & this is the best mail service I've ever found. I'm already using Google Apps too..
few weeks before switched back to Gmail because of ease of my works..
By far the best email client/provider on the internet. You get almost 8gb of storage with a gmail account and then can access any google product with your google account. Uses technologies like AJAX to make this true Web 2.0 app really stand out.
I used to shy away from web based email but decided to give gmail a go when it first came out.
I haven't looked back.
I now do not have to bother backing up all my emails.
You can assign an email to as many labels (folders) as you like making finding stuff much easier.
best in test!
Best webmail easily, wonder why the usage on the chart is all over the place?

Best webmail there is around...
Free web based email with loads of storage. You never have to delete anything again!
best email in the world :)
The e-mail made easy, fast and clean.
Is there an before and after april 2004 when GMail starts.
Once I found Gmail, I directly change from using Yahoo! Mail and keep using this until now. The performance is very fast. Interface is simple and easy to understand, neat and clean. Also there are many formal features and in-development features that make this more interesting.
