Today it's also possible to visit the site trough: http://www.gmail.com, although it redirects still to mail.google.com It also can be used as a SaaS-webmail for your domain with help of Google Apps.

Haven't found anything better than Gmail yet. So far through the years I've been happy with this service. XD

Gotta love this email service.
Arguably the best web-based free email client. I have a Gmail account because, well you have too, but I'm not ready to move my primary email to a service that I can't call if something goes wrong. If you use their paid service, I believe you get nerfed out of some of the beta features as well.

Favourited personally, in competition with live/hotmail from my opinion. Stable and secure email access proves to be a key of gmails success. Just google buzz.. thats part of its menu... needs to be removed.
I use it because it has very good spam filter and its better than Yahoo.
