I have been using Gmail since 2005. It is, with no doubt, the best web-based
email app I have had the pleasure of using. Gmail's Conversation system makes
replying a snap, letting the user see the original email, and all subsequent
replies on one page, saving a bunch of time. I love the Gears functionality, as
it has beat down my number one complaint about most web apps: not being able to
use it offline; this alone gives it a huge boost against desktop-based mail
apps. My most valued of all, however, is Gmail's Spam filter. It surpasses every
other spam filter I have seen, as every spam message that has been sent to me
gets caught and thrown into the Spam folder before it even touches my inbox. To
top it off, you instantly receive 7 Gigabytes (as of the moment this was posted)
of storage free which constantly increases at a rapid rate. If you haven't used
it yet, I recommend you check it out.
