Simple and userfriendly mediaplayer, but with poor interface.
Lightweight and a it is front-end option if you don't use Smplayer. Good integration with Mozilla browser.
Bad for playing DVDs.
Only Player where hardware-acceleration works (for me). Tested mplayer and derivate, xine and derivate, vlc...
Lighweight and powerful, very similiar to Media Player Classic on Windows. Support alot of codecs, nice rendering, easy subtitle adding.
But not best choise for playing DVDs.
