I think I'm going to make the switch from Quicken. I've tried GnuCash in the past (in my continuing effort to move completely to Linux), but just couldn't make the effort to move all my stuff from Q and fix all the inconsistencies that resulted. But I'm going to just start over with GnuCash. It's not quite as user friendly as Q (or maybe I'm just so used to Q), but it's definitely usable. And I love open source!
Double-entry accounting took a while to figure out, but once I read through the documents closely, I got it. It has all sorts of reports that you can fill out and is very full featured. However, it's a big sluggish, has some odd UI issues every once in a while and lacks polish. I used it for a few months, then quit.
