API is definitely missing some important features.. Real world things like submitting any details (such as email, name or even address) to the system so that they don't have to fill them out again is a biggie.
If you want to use any form of call back (i.e. to get the google account details) you'll need to find yourself a good api to handle it, which can be quite hard if you want to implement some of their newer features (e.g. reoccurring subscriptions). You'll also need to get yourself a SSL cert pronto!- however, it does support XML/HTML requests without SSL OR call backs (so no token checking), but isn't that a bit insecure?
Still, it is nice that you can use your Google account with it, plus the sandbox feature does seem to work quite a bit better than Paypals (although I like PP's virtual inbox, which cuts down on spam..). The system also gets rid of the frankly nasty character formatting limits of Paypal (such as description lengths and more encoding options).
Great for online purchases, a great alternative to PayPal.
The API interface is a nightmare. Going to see how it pans out...
Google Checkout is extremely streamlined and is a breeze to use.
Working great so far with my checkout system :)
Easy to use too! Although it did not accept many of my cards, its very selective.
Google checkout is fantastic. It's easy to use and you don't have to go through multiple screens to pay for your purchase. Very well integrated and uncomplicated. I liked that it asked me whether I wanted to opt in or out of the company's mailing list during the checkout, so I didn't have to be sent to yet another site to register or opt out.
