Very good for collaborating documents with multiple users.
I love keeping my documents in the cloud.
GoogleDocs is ingenious. If you're like me and sick of having to use (& PAY for) proprietary software, you'll enjoy this service. I've found some exceptionally creative ways of using it in work environments, particularly via the new forms document creator which populates the responses into a spreadsheet for easy data capture/analysis. It is missing some of the stronger features of certain programs (like Excel), but I suspect over time these features will appear, as some already have. The share feature and the ability to access documents from anywhere are particularly useful. If you need secure (eg HIPPA compliant) documents, try the non-profit version.
I use this to coordinate travel itineraries between multiple people. Great because I can even change things on the fly during the trip.
Very good for collaborating spreadsheets with multiple users. I like that I can see what the other users are looking at while I am editing and it is very informative as to what the other users are doing. Integration with programs like microsoft excel would be better for me though, as MS Excel offers more features than the web app can.
I haven't used a desktop office suite in over a year thanks to Google Docs. Not only is it the best collaborative document sharing tool on the Web it's new offline feature allows those worried about loss of data on the cloud to have a back up on their local hard drive.
AWESOME, I love an off-line word-processor
its free and nice features
Google Docs makes sharing spreadsheets easy. Multiple people can work on a document entering and sorting data with ease. The document can be exported in several different formats. What I like about Google Docs is its accessibility.
Great stuff. We've been solving all the business cases during my marketing classes in Google Docs. Creating presentations and discussing at the same time. My group now is fond of this tool, so am I)
I use this at work all the time. We have access to MS Word but I'm not able to save my files and take them with me (shop with citrix). This is great for writing journals and other school stuff when there's nothing to do at work.
Great stuff. I'll pick this over the pile of crap that is Zoho any day. It will only improve over time.
I use it to host all my important texts. It lacks some features from the big softwares, but it's still a useful tool.
Except maybe for collaboration, there's not much use to having a webbased Office suite. Nothing I can tell.
I like it! It's missing a few features, but nothing that ruins performance. I love the sharing.
