Google Gadgets are interactive mini-applications you can put in Dashboard -- alongside your Dashboard widgets -- or on your iGoogle page. You can get gadgets that show you email, photos, personalized news, let you play games, and do much more. To use Google Gadgets on your Mac, you first download the Google Gadgets application, then choose gadgets you want to install.

Google Gadgets comes with Google Desktop -- you can choose to install either or both programs.
