Google Maps is fantastic. Fast performance, smart interface, and highly adaptable for developers. I use Google Maps on the iPhone and love the walking/public transit directions. Also, Street View has been recently updated with better navigation features that make it much easier to zip along. Now you no longer are confined by those arrow buttons.
On the negative side, Maps has suggested some roundabout and just plain wrong routes for me, and the directions often come across as muddled. On the plus side,Street View is fascinating to look at, and useful when searching for new locations. There is a lot of potential with Google Maps, but I think the interface still needs work.
Great for looking up place around the globe or in your home country.

There just is nothing better than this - I can see my house!!! Even on my Blackberry I am seeing street level views. This is the coolest software I have come across in a while. I need to find a job working on this all day every day...
My everyday map... even more powerfull while integrated with the GPS of my N95!!! :)
