Google Reader is THE most capable web-based RSS reader out there. That said,
it's still short on key features: 1) Autorefreshing 2) The ability to notify
users when a specific feed/feed folder has new items. It's also painfully slow
compared to locally executed RSS readers such as NewsFox. However one can't help
but love its sharing component, as well as its ability to merge all the feeds in
a folder into a giant metafeed that can be read by another reader. Oh, and any
feed you subscribe to becomes completely searchable, which makes finding old
news items a breeze.
