A good web based RSS reader. I used to use Safari for all my RSS needs, then
I switched to Thunderbird and later NetNewsWire. I didn't really like any of
them for a variety of reasons but then I came across Google Reader and I've
never looked back.
The thing that I like most about Google Reader is that is works on anything
that has a web browser, Mac, Windows, Linux, iPhone, Safari, Opera, Firefox, IE,
Chrome or Camino. It doesn't matter which platform I'm on or which browser I
use, I will always be able to read my RSS feeds with Google Reader.
Features are pretty basic but then I don't need advanced features for
something as simple as RSS feeds, it does exactly what I want. The interface is
good, clean and simple. I would rate it as one of Google's best. Performance is
always solid, even on really bad dial up connections or poor EDGE reception and
as for price, it's free!
