The 2nd most popular messenger on the Web
… More EditA wave is a new communication platform and technology, much like e-mail is today, but so much more. Developed by Google but open-sourced, you can see the preview of this technology in action on Google's wave server, conveniently named Google Wave. It's not a social network, not a web tool, not a proprietary software; but a whole new communication device evolved from e-mail, forums, chat, social sites etc.

There's still a lot of work to be done on this bleeding edge collaboration tool especially in the areas of performance and reliability but it's off to a good start and there's a lot of potential.
Playing a game of D&D over wave, and it seems to be everything I needed (and more!)
Still lacking a couple of features, and gets laggy at the 300 blip mark, but other than that...
Really digging it for group collaboration and discussions.
I use it instead of email+messenger with people who already there. Amazing thing
Confusing at first, but it's very useful for me right now.
Great way to share information and update information. Still too new to be popular, but you can see its the future!
it's wow
It's still just a preview and has a lot to be desired. That said, I use it nearly every day. It's just not for everyone. For starters, it's pointless without having other people to share waves with. If you don't have anyone to share with, you're not going to use it. I use it a lot to collaborate on ideas - it's mainly a threaded IM for me that stays up, can be seen in realtime, and has advantages over traditional chat. But there's also no way to currently get information out of Wave. This is a major drawback that I hope is rectified with integration into other Google products. Until then, you'll need to be the kind that likes being on the cutting edge - figuring out what to use this for - before you'll get any satisfaction.
it's decent and i can see what it can be used for but it won't get the traffic say facebook or twitter does across the majority of "Normal" people although i like it that is what i say
I just can say anything about GWave!
SO promising, but so laggy... And Google's official is not that ergonomic.
actually, it sucks.
Многие назвали Wave провалом 2009 года, но я не согласен. Если убрать возможность запускать публичные, общедоступные волны, Wave превратится в своеобразный почтовый клиент, но с гораздо более широкими возможностями по сравнению с обычными почтовиками.
useless at all, maybe later it would become new and better way to communicate, but not now
For now, it's not really good. Then again, it's not really released either, so I would say I hope it gets better with less annoying features and becomes actually useful.
