The iPod is the best selling MP3 player in the world, and it's full of functions making it a true joy to use for listening to your favorite songs.

However, in Europe there's a law meant to guard against hearing damage that puts a limit on the volume level of portable listening devices. Needless to say, the iPod conforms to this law, but if you'd like to use your iPod to its full potential, you can get around the EU volume limitation with goPod. With a flick of a cursor, the software allows you to unleash all of your iPod's audio potential.

GoPod is free, distributed via Open Source. The official site features versions for Linux and Mac as well. The software is available with all models of iPod including Mini, Nano, Video and Shuffle.
