This is the god of screen shot programs. Once you get this baby configured you can have jpeg images directly sent to the desktop in the instant the screen shot takes place. A huge huge time saver.

Logiciel gratuit très pratique pour faire des captures d'écran améliorées (ajout de flèches, textes,...). Un peu gourmand en ressources toutefois.

This is the best screenshot tool I have used. It takes up very little memory, and gives you three simple hotkeys, and a right-click menu to choose if you want to capture the window, a region, or the whole screen. after taking a screenshot, the editor opens up in less than a second and you can add pseudo-vector-based rectangles, circles, and textboxes of any color. Then you can save as a jpg, png, gif, or bmp. My only problems with it are that it depends on the .net framework, (Couldn't it have used GTK instead?) and that it doesn't save as targas, or have any options relating to filetype compression settings. I haven't used a lot of programs similar to this, but I have used Jing, and Greenshot is waaay better than it. The only thing Jing has over this is video capabilities (obviously), and the unnecessary glitz that some people can't live without. And since Jing is a combination of Snagit and Camtasia, it's better than Snagit too. Besides, that icon! Jesus, what was TechSmith's graphic designer thinking when he made those!
