The 6th most popular player on the Web

Grooveshark is a revolutionary music community that rewards users for sharing their music. Grooveshark was founded by three University of Florida students hell-bent on changing the music industry, and the world, forever. Grooveshark's goal is to compensate everyone in the value chain – from users to rights' holders. Edit

Para mi el mejor sitio para escuchar musica; crear mi lista propia, compartirlo con los amigos en twitter, facebook, etc.

Absolutely amazing, there is nothing to fault here, the itnerface is great, the library is massive and it's just too good to not use!

The new grooveshark is a MUST. An entirely new interface / layout makes it incredibly easy to jump through songs and artists and queue up songs. Plus, the addition of hash tag ajax navigation (grooveshark.com/#/...) makes it incredibly easy to navigate pages (you can use the browser's back / fwd buttons!)

One solid music app. Go shary!

My only knocks on the service are server stalls and variable quality of music available. It could be much better with a consistent database labeling system and reduction of duplicates.

Probably my favorite online music service. Selection is adequate and you can customize your selections/playlists and play just the songs you want to hear.

Seems to bog down at times and the quality of the songs can vary from very good to bad (songs are uploaded by users and some of the rips can be pretty poor, quality wise).

I like it overall. Too bad it probably won't be around too much longer. (they seem to have run afoul of the riaa).

For those of us denied Pandorra or under restrictions of Last.fm listening to the song we like may be quite taxing. However, since I have started using Grooveshark I have not looked back. Yes it does not have a recommendation system, however, its easy playlist features, ability to upload songs and the model to provide incentives to artists when we listen to songs makes it clearly the most logical and easy way to listen to music. Awesome !
