This is a must for every "heavy" Internet user! With XP service pack 2, MS introduced a TCP half open connection limit (10 max), this was done to mitigate worm like programs (that are reproduced by means of network connections). The idea was a good one, except any program that uses many simultaneous connections, also got "mitigated" :)
P2P software, bulk mailers, even browsers are very slow when this limit is active. Use this to remove the limit (allow at least 512 connections).
This program should help with torrents and the like. The restrictions of 10 half-open TCP connections was put in by Microsoft to help prevent DoS attacks. It only effects versions of Windows XP SP2 (Service Pack 2) and later (Vista/Windows 7).
Allows you to lift the "half-open" connection limit on Windows XP/Vista/7. Very useful, no longer does my connection ground to a halt when I reopen all the tabs and windows I had open when firefox CRASHES.
