However you want to look at it, there's always the comparison with uTorrent. Without that Halite would be an awesome client, with it there's a bunch of little things that you'll find in uT but will miss in Halite. Proxy support for example, I personally also like uT's label system and "add torrent" screens a lot (it's a pain to add additional trackers in Halite, you have to enter 'em one by one, while in uT you can simply paste the complete list), couldn't get CIFS adresses to work (saving to \\othercomputer\Torrents in Halite doesn't work), etc.
On the positive side: it seems that H. does consume slightly less memory and all the really needed functions (.torrent builder, encrypted connections, DHT, etc) are all there. So while it currently is no match for uT there's certainly potential in this program.
If you're not using utorrent, and you're not using Halite, you'd better have a good reason.
After trying 10 odd alts to uTorrent, Halite is def the best of the rest, although the dev seems to has slowed down of late
uTorrent killer? Not any time soon, but possible.
