GUI of lshw.. It's easy to look for what you want..
On Ubuntu, install from Synaptics. Once installed, to run type 'hardinfo' in terminal to access GUI controls, from which it is self-evident how to proceed. This gives a very detailed listing, which can be saved to disk for future reference.
