Hohm

Microsoft's web-based service designed for helping people and utilities companies to manage energy more efficiently. Hohm works by tracking one's energy consumption and providing some optimization advices, based on the information that is provided by the user or by installed hardware sensors. After data is collected, Hohm will advise you to implement energy-saving changes (use different light bulb, install thermal-insulation layer, choose a different time to start your dishwasher) and will track the actual results after you follow the advice. Microsoft claims Hohm has been programmed in such a way that it will constantly refine its data to provide ever more pertinent advices.
