HomeSite is an HTML editor owned by Adobe Systems (formerly owned by Allaire and Macromedia). Unlike WYSIWYG HTML editors such as FrontPage and Dreamweaver, HomeSite is designed for direct editing, or "hand coding," of HTML and other website languages. It is available for the Windows platform. It was originally developed in Borland Delphi in 1995 by Bradbury Software (founded by Nick Bradbury). In March 1997 Allaire Corp. from Cambridge, Massachusetts (founded by brothers Jeremy and J.J. Allaire) acquired HomeSite and Nick Bradbury joined Allaire. After leaving Allaire in 1998, Nick went on to work on the CSS/xHTML editor TopStyle and the RSS reader FeedDemon. Looks like I have it installed on one machine still.
I disagree with last user. Dreamweaver is slower and actualy for newvers.
HomeSite is one of the best programs for HTML-coding. There are some useful features for fast coding tables, images, forms, but you create most of code youself.

Aun cuando puede parecer una aplicación obsoleta (ya que no tiene nuevas versiones desde 2002 cuando pertenecia a Macromedia) y es dificil de usar para los usuarios novatos (codificación en texto) es bueno para los desarrolladores como yo que deseamos tener el contro de cada uno de los bytes que forman nuestra página o script. Lo he utilizado para desarrollo html, xml, php y css desde hace 9 años. Se que hay aplicaciones especificas y más avanzadas para cada punto (Dreamweaver, PHPEd y muchas otras), pero Homesite es estable y excelente en el manejo de texto.

best html-coding-suite on the market. stable, fast, does everything you expect it to do and feature-rich. you need to be able to code though.
