Hyves is incredibly overrated here in Holland, and I really don't use it a
lot. It has too much features, making it a bit complex, but overall it works
great.
The new interface of Hyves is much better! Great usability but a little
slower than before. The features of the website are also great, you can do so
many things with your profile.
They should drop the ugly yellow on the site.. or just a complete remake
including the icons and all... but like more people said. I only use it cause my
friends do...

isnt very great and a bit confusing. I rather use Facebook but too bad most of
my friends are still on Hyves.
I don't like the programming clutter on Hyves, and the interface isn't a good
enough reason to stay using it, the half of the Hyves on.. Hyves.. are useless
or dead, PMspams are owning most of the message system, and there's nothing you
can do about it.
Big in Holland but I don't know why. Interface is just barely enough to pay
the website a visit. Personalising your page is difficult when you're not good
with programming and most of the time it is not what you wanted.
Loads of hyve-groups are useless because nobody visits the pages, even
groups with +1000 members are really boring most of the time.
The gadget feature is not in an eye-catching position as well, so nobody
is watching them and last but not least; the lay-out of the website is just
plain ugly.
But hey, it's free and if you want to use a social network in Holland, this
is the best one to achieve your goal with.
I think it works good and looks good with the new design. Its not a slow site.

I like Hyves. I prefer other networking sites like Facebook but i think Hyves is the most used networking site in Holland.
