Have to use it at work. Sucks big time. :(
This software sucks extremely probably more because I HAVE to use it due to my company's policy than because of its own merits. Usability is pathetic, keyboard shortcuts are non-intuitive and completely contrary to the Windows conventions.
I only use it because I have to due to the policy of the company I am working for. Extremely unfriendly UI, problematic and crashes often. Not recommended at all.
I have to use this at work. Nuff said ;)
Software meio pesado, mas faz o que tem que ser feito.
(Apenas para uso no trabalho)
Better than Outlook.... trust me.
You can't blame LN for being poor of features: actually, it's got too much of them on my opinion.
But you should blame its incosistent, chaotic, unproductive UI.
And its speed, oh, please! On a 2,5 GHZ C2D it's capable to freeze itself and other applications because it's syncronizing with the remote server...
Lotus Notes is one of the good Office application available. I use LN8 it has got many new and exciting features unlike its predecessor notes version this has got many new functionality and very intuitive UI.
Though you can still find some old GUI forms here and there but in all it has got many new features.
We use Notes 7 at work, and I can't really complain all that much apart from the rather inconsistent interface (seriously - not even the most experienced Windows user can figure it out at times and we're the IT Department!).
We have databases for absolutely everything, and integrated into our intranet. We've moved away a bit from Notes with our new customer service system, and everybody wants the Notes database back.
So I'll say...it works. It's just difficult to navigate. And it's incredibly flexible for development.
It's not even a mail client. It's a database app with delusions of grandeur...
I use it because I need it for work, but it sucks
The worst email client out there. Everything including the interface is at least 10 years behind rest of the similar apps. But kudos to IBM who have been able to keep such a crappy software alive and selling. I liked Outlook much better but stuck with Lotus because of the client for which I am working.
It looks like the 80's and works like it too. Why would companies still have it
great on paper. crap in practice.
Forced to use this at work. Sux egg nogg
