It's good i just WISH it would support MSN or yahoo. ALL of my contacts are
on MSN, so of course its my most used network...and i have to "put up"
with Adium..which im not a big fan of..COME ON APPLE! You can kick MS in the
teeth with this from a software point of view! im not starting a flame war
either...they drive me mad...lol
iChat has changed my life. Now no matter where in the world I am I can chat
to my friends in realtime as if I was sitting in the same room as them. Not only
that, but we can also screen share and can watch or help each other out straight
from the individual screen. A truly amazing piece of software considering it is
free. 10 years ago it would have cost £200 a minute to video conference with
someone and both parties would have had to go to a special studio. iChat has
really made it possible for anyone with a Mac and an internet connect to meet
up. And saying that... here comes one of my US friend to chat....
Don't know why people even look for anything else: I use the standard iChat
for ICQ and GMail in several weird languages without any trouble at all. Too bad
I need a separate app for Skype, though ;)
I would choose this over the AIM application any day. I wish that you could
combine all contact lists into one. Adium provides that but it lacks video
conferencing, screen sharing, and an address book integration that functions
decently.

Love this app, I really do wish it supported a few more networks though.
Simple and rock solid application.
adium+skype is the right answer.

I prefer adium, but for audio, video, screen sharing it's just perfect :)
