Free, open source, open microblogging, federation, creative commons content, groups... - why is anyone still using "T-word"?
Identi.ca is my first "home" on the internet, and the StatusNet software it's running on keeps gettong better.
I like this microblogging service. At some points, I think it's even better than Twitter. The community is smaller (good?bad? I don't know...)
The idea behind using groups with ! is great.
Neat little microblogging service. Has helped me to keep track of what's going on with the development of libre.fm over the last couple of months.

Identica is a smaller community than the mainstream, but it's still a good place to be along with the others if you want to network and find some great places to pay a visit to.

Vastly superior to twitter and with a better crowd of people. It's also open source which is always a plus. Only gave it 4 out of 5 stars because it's missing threaded comments, once it has that it'll be 5/5.

open source twitter alternative. has all the basic features of twitter and more. can be installed on your own server. doesn't have the community or all the tools (as obnoxious and some completely useless as they are) but if people start switchin' the 3rd party apps will soon follow. i use my messaging client digsby (you can use google talk, AIM) to post and follow. you can also use pidgin. i love it.
Awesome microblogging-service. If you want a client for this, you can use Twibble. Just put in front of your nick a letter i. Example: i nickname
