Ikariam is a browser based massively multiplayer online game in the strategy genre produced and maintained by Gameforge AG. The game is set in a world resembling classical Greece, with players being made tyrant of a small town, which they must expand and lead.

Stopped playing, because some high level players continuously robbed me from resources, so I couldn´t build myself. If they start picking on people of their own level I might come back !
Played for several months and really enjoyed my time on the game. Hit a wall of not enjoying myself several different times, finally threw in the towel just recently. Best thing I can suggest, find a good alliance (like HTF on Eta) and get to know the good folks on your team!

Its a browser game... it has some limitations but hey i've been playing it for over a year every single day.

Nice ´real´-time strategy ! It´s addictive and works on any browser and operating system. I play it at home and at work: I like checking regularly to see what I can do and what my ranking is.
Still contains lots of unfixed bugs, especially in "Fleet / Troop Movements" screen. Things have become even worse in v0.3.1
