The newer versions aren't bad, but I use Firefox instead. Also I really don't like the interface, it's yucky.
Terrible browser. Even IE8 is still slow.
At one point in time it was THE browser to use, but has since lagged in support and was surpassed by the likes of Firefox and Chrome. It has since struggled to stay relevant. Personally, I only use the browser for site testing, or when older web apps require the use of IE(ActiveX controls, certain security settings, etc.).
Use Runecats Explorer, Chrome, Safari... anything but this I mean why do people use it!
I hope one day Microsoft will improve IE and it will outdone Firefox, right now it doesn't appeal me.

Microsoft won the first browser war with Netscape. Full of arrogance they put their finger up at web standards and went on to create the most appalling software, ie5/6. The team behind IE6 should face charges for crimes against the internet.
As a web developer I want to cry when I read as of Oct 09 ie6 still holds 10% of the market, so sad.
Because of the pigs-ear MS made with IE6, I doubt I will ever use IE for anything but testing

IE SUCKS
Everyone loves to ride on IE, but the fact of the matter is that IE7 and IE8 are actually pretty good, solid, and secure browsers. IE8 more so, given how it has been engineered with security and safety in mind.
Opinion might be divided on which browser is the best, but it is unanimous on which one is the worst. Behold, the Internet Explorer. This monstrosity should be outlawed, seriously.
