Kingdom of Loathing (KoL) is a humorous, browser-based, multiplayer role playing game, designed and operated by Asymmetric Publications, including creator Zack "Jick" Johnson and writer Josh "Mr. Skullhead" Nite. It is notable for its use of hand-drawn stick figure graphics and writing characterized by surreal humor, word play, parody and references to pop culture. Launched in February 2003, the game now hosts a player base of 100,000 to 150,000 regular users. In KoL, players fight monsters for experience, meat (the game's currency), and items, through a turn-based system. Players also interact with each other through player versus player competition, participate in the in-game economy by trading goods and services, and organize themselves into clans, and speak to each other in many different chat channels.

What's there to say that hasn't been said? It's just a shame it took me this long to finally just dive in and start playing this masterpiece.
I used to play this game with my friends about a month ago, but then it just started to get horribly repetitive and all the jokes were the same after a while so I had to stop, I tried playing it again recently and was just as disappointed, I have no intention of ever playing it again
I've been playing KoL off and on for several years -- I never tire of it, it's a real joy. Clever, hillarious, fun.
I just recently found this game and absolutely love it. It's everything I wish I could make in a browser based adventure game. : D

Прекрасная игра для людей со знанием английского и более-менее широким кругозором, поскольку юмор в ней очень сильно завязан на знании популярной культуры. Отвисать в ней сутками, наверное, можно, но невероятно сложно. Дозированность подачи привлекает, хотя иногда обидно, что нужно ждать до следующего дня. Модель монетизации очень удобна, на мой взгляд.

when my right thumb and index finger went Numb again , i had to give up WarCraft for a while - this game filled the spot and i still luv to play it 5 ascensions later :)
Fun and funny, this game is chock full of pop references and just good ol' silly humor.
