Ugly, wouldn't set up how I wanted it to, and changing things from the HIDEOUS default interface was like pulling teeth.

Honestly I prefer mIRC, but I have to admit that kvIRC is good too.
One of my first software installs on a new Linux desktop. Handles irc notifications wonderfully, and love that it can integrate with the system notification area so well.
