I use its Firefox extension, the top bar doesn't appear sometimes, I guess that is connection issue cause they save users data in their server.
I paid for AI Roboform years ago and loved it. When I found LastPass for free I gave it a try. Lastpass is better than the best.
The availability of your passwords from anywhere on the web wins out. The IE & Firefox plug-ins work well. There are concerns about having our information on the web but prudent use of the master password
This is a pleasure to use and is security made simple.
I cannot recommend highly enough
Been using LastPass for over six months and find it invaluable and as safe as I need it to be. It fills forms, creates strong passwords, saves secure, encrypted notes, auto-logs you into your sites even if you keep cookies clean and this is just what I can think of off the top of my head. Someone finally got it right.
Best password manager I've used. Work great, and stays synchronized on any toolbar I use it, or even over the web.
LastPass is the best software add-on I've discovered this year. This is a must-have utility for one and all, and a key component to staying safe on the web. Love it.
If i'd have to recommend 10 pc programs that make life easier, this one would be definitely on that list!
Lastpass is also available on Chrome, with a little twist, but it is working. If someone releases a working adblock for Chrome, I'll change to that right away! :)
It's by no means basic, and it's a very convenient and easy to use password manager.
Only drawback is that they are keeping encrypted versions of your passwords in their servers (host-proof hosting).
This system is supposed to be very secure since the master key is stored in your computer, transmission between servers and your computers are SSL and the decryption process is embedded inside your web browser..
Still one might feel unsure about keeping all passwords online, in the same place... I'm trusting this tool nonetheless and I do love it!
Note that you can add an extra-layer of security by downloading Lastpass Sesame and using an USB drive as a physical dongle. Last pass will then require you to provide your masterkey + have the USB dongle connected in order to give you access to your password list.
This extra-security layer comes with a price, and you have to become a premium user (12 USD/year) in order to use it.
Great password manager. Autofills forms, and even autologins for you as well. Even though it may screw up on some forms, this is a great tool. Good replacement for the built-in browser password managers!
LastPass is quite handy if you have several passwords to remember and use a number of different browsers or machines and would like to access them anytime when you are online.
I have been using it for quite a while and didnt encounter any bugs.
Also when Mozilla guys themselves recommend a Firefox add-on, I assume its a quality product.
But if you are not comfortable storing your passwords in the cloud, KeePass is the best desktop Password Manager there is!
Basic password manager but it is FREE and it is online, so you can use the same password database from everywhere :)
I am using it from my work and home computers (laptop and stationary) and intend to use in Internet coffees when I am traveling.
If u've got other choice, don't choose this.
