An image editor on Windows

LightBox Image Editor is an excellent little utility. It has an attractive user interface that is simple and straight forward, and offers intuitive slide-bar adjustments for your images. It also has split screen views to help you compare your images before and after the corrections have been made. It includes simple tools to correct red-eye, sharpen, crop, re-size, add borders, and print. [Description courtesy of http://www.techsupportalert.com/best-free-digital-editor.htm]

This is a cool image editing program. It has a really good user interface that uses tooltips to explain what every button or slider does.

It has really good one touch automatic features for adjusting the lighting and color balance of a picture.

The best feature of this program is its ability to allow you to look at both the original image and your edits side by side or even a split view of the photo before you save.

It works with both multiple file formats including RAW.

The only complaints I have with the program is that it isn't real friendly for batch processing. Saving a file require multiple clicks. You have to open each file one at a time (as oppose to a image viewer in which you can just click next image). It is also lacking some basic editing features like being able to straighten a photo.

Overall this is a powerful image editing program. It is easy to use and can be a useful tool in your image editing bag of tricks.
