Full of nice features, like embedded media. Very "Mac-ish" interface. Has a background agent.
Best IRC client for Mac.
While Linkinus has a great interface, and is extendible, it does suffer from some bugs, quite a lot of RAM usage, and it's not the cheapest client around. However, the feature set and interface are very good, so it's very much worth a look if you like IRC. :)
I have to say that it's a little difficult to find some things in the preferences (sometimes I look in there when I should be editing the connection, etc.).
Very sleek and full of good features. Well worth buying, and the upgrade from 1.x to 2.0 was free =)
I used Colloquy until I found this app. Very good IRC Client for the Mac. Not too expensive either.
Totally knocking out Colloquy, nothing better there on the market for Mac. Chic, useful and handy customization options, everything that Colloquy lacks. Never ever crashed on me.
I have to say Hands Down this is probably the best IRC client for OSX out there. Really reminds me of mIRC for the Windows platform.
If you use IRC for any extended period of time, this is the client to get.
If you barely use it or only use it for simply leeching or getting files, then I would probably suggest Colloquy or X-Chat Aqua.
This is by and far the best IRC client on the Mac right now. Having used IRC clients on the Mac for the past 18 years this one is the current top contender. Switching back and forth between Linkinus and it's top competitor proves how feature complete Linkinus is. Split-screen view, autocomplete, plaintext transcripts, input history, plug-in support (Blowfish for example) make this client well worth the $20.
I Personally hate all Mac IRC Clients BUT Linkinus is worth the $$$ for the User Interface (because of that i have to stick to Linkinus for IRC Clients on the Mac, if it was not for that i would use mIRC a lot more) BUT Linkinus lacks the stability and it is not worth the $$$ and because of that the App Crashes a LOT (and don't even bother asking for help in the help chat their because i had a Bad Experience their), i Prefer mIRC a lot better on the Stability
The best IRC client for Mac. Worth the price. Way more features than Colloquy.
I wouldn't use any other IRC
the best
Ever since moving to Mac I was missing a good, usable IRC client. Colloquy didn't do it for me. Linkinus gave me what I was missing, and for a more than decent price. Excellent client, excellent colour options, just plain useful.
Best Client IRC for Mac
Diden't like this irc-client
