Get Ooma instead, it doesn't require software.
Magic Jack has been trouble free after the initial setup and upgrade for Windows Vista. The call quality is quieter than Comcast (Comcast had to add whitenoise since there's was to quiet). :)
I use it on my Mobilemesh and it works great. It does use more bandwidth than Skype or SIP based gear, but its setup is simple, fast and with 10 minutes, your making calls.

Software can crash, other than that, amazing software!
It works great on most computers with minimal programs running. Broadband (and with minimal lag) is a must.

Performance, has to be running on a computer that doesn't have many applications running for it will cause the phone to lagg.
Interface, the software is kinda faulty, could be better, wish they had skins and the ability to iconize it when lowered would be nice.
