I use this mostly to restart finder when it's lost its way. Don't really understand entirely what it does - or even why but that's compatible with the mac experience. Get it and use it.
Everytime the system is getting slow (usually after 15+ days without reboot) it does it's trick and everything is faster again.
Great to use when you need to flush.
