Media Player classic is dan wel geen schoonheid (eenvoudige skin) maar in
combinatie met K-lite codec pack heb ik tot op heden wel alle videoformaten
kunnen afspelen, losse ondertitels werken nagenoeg altijd en het werkt allemaal
mooi vlot.
Toch wil ik vooral ook graag Windows media center kunnen gebruiken: In
Windows Media Center (en player)in Windows 7 kan ik de meeste media tegenwoordig
wel afspelen, dit met behulp van Shark codec pack met een tool waarmee je alles
kunt instellen. voor zover ik kan beoordelen werken beide codec packs gewoon
naast mekaar (misschien niet helemaal de manier maar het werkt).

Version) can play/open almost anything and most of it's annoying bugs got fixed
(again the home Cinema version) it's portable and have a dedicate 64bit version.
surpasses VLC in MKV/MP4 playback by a far margin.
just need a few themes!
MPC is a competent and versatile media player. The range of supported codecs
is impressive and should cover all but the most obscure and specialized
formats.
The audio and video playback is high quality, stable and consumes few
resources.
MPC lacks many of the bells and whistles most people require in their main
media application. However, its small footprint, wide range of codecs and high
performance make it an ideal companion to your favorite web browser. Since MPC
can handle almost any file you throw at it, you can replace all of the media
applications used by your browser and have all media play through MPC. This is
my primary use for MPC and it works great.
This one rocks! MPC is my personal favourite media player. I use it for any
kinda media playback and it has never betrayed me, unless the video/audio is
corrupted.

Просто, легко и понятно, до VLC пользовался только им.
